This feature documentary explores the Changeling Myth as a metaphor for disability and disability justice. The charaer Hog creates a Changeling to be used by the Fairy Iarla to replace a child. But before the Changeling can be used to do its job Hog explains what Changelings are and how people see them.

This video took seven months to complete and was extremely emotionally taxing. I am both neurologically and physically disabled so reading about the historical treatment of people like me was a little traumatic.
I chose to do this in the form of a narrative with a puppet representing a Changeling because I wanted people to identify with and feel bad for Changelings before revealing their connection to disability. This decision was made because people often don’t listen to the Disabled when they know we’re Disabled and many are more willing to have sympathy for a puppet than a person they know to be Disabled.
Presenting the Puppet first as a character for the audience to connect with and then introducing the concept of disability in relation to the Puppet was done deliberately to circumvent that.
