A Punk Seanchaí
Once described as being like “a lovely loaf of fresh baked bread served at a satanic orgy” Fáin is an oral storyteller with a multidisciplinary background who loves to discuss the bizarre and the deviant while creating an atmosphere of comfort and comradery.
Fáin has told stories for groups like Gender.RIP, Chronic Collective, Daoine Draoícht and Dublin’s Finest.
Their extensive repertoire of myths and folk tales has suitable stories for all audiences, from the very young to the tired old cynic.
And their theatrical, engaging style leaves audiences enthralled.
Fáin has been a youth theatre facilitator, a student of Irish Folklore at UCD, has laboured in the story mines of The National Leprechaun Museum.
Their influences include Growler, Blindboy Boatclub, Diogenes the Cynic, Tom Waits, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, the writings of James Connolly and the local crows.
